“The world demands further progress on structural reforms in Japan. In order to meet expectations at home and abroad for ‘the sustainable growth of the Japanese economy even while the population shrinks,’ we must carry out fundamental structural reforms,” said Prime Minister Abe Shinzo. Following the approval of the Japan Revitalization Strategy in June of last year, Abe Cabinet immediately passed nine bills related to the Growth Strategy in the extraordinary session of the Diet. “During ‘the Diet to Realize a Positive Cycle’ that will go into session from next week, we will submit around 30 bills related to the Growth Strategy, far exceeding the number submitted during the extraordinary Diet session.”
